After Case Western Reserve University completed it's rebranding we started redesigning materials to fit within the new brand. Without losing the basic look and feel of the magazine that everyone loved, I redesigned it once more.

The School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University produces this publication twice a year. I took it over at the second issue. There were concerns that the design was too busy and my charge was to clean up the design so it felt more appropriate for the med school.

It highlights the student experience on and around campus as well as all that CWRU has to offer potential students. We won gold and silver awards as the only in-house team in the Admission Marketing Awards for 2009 and 2010.

The purpose of this ad campaign was to promote some of the groundbreaking research done at the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University.

"Lab to Life" was meant to illustrate how lofty research relates to and benefits the practice of medicine. Each advertorial focused on a different area of research and featured research imagery.

Ingenuity Festival is a yearly event held in downtown Cleveland. The festival celebrates art, technology and music. For it's first year the Cleveland Museum of Art was given an unfinished store front for their entry in the festival. We got inspiration from the unfinished space and the design stemmed from that. "Panels" were paper left unmounted, printed from our large format ink jet printer, with crop marks and color bars intact. We taped them to the unfinished drywall with gaffers tape. Our IT department present some of the new technologies the museum was using on it's website and within the galleries. It was a great success and we drew huge crowds into our space.

Challenging Structure was an exhibition that gave visitors a glimpse into the creative process of Frank Ghery. Case Western Reserve University had just completed construction of the Peter B. Lewis building that houses the Weatherhead School of Management. We exhibited the 3D models. His sketches were blown up to become graphic elements within the gallery. There was an interactive station for visitors to view the software used by the architect.

Our inspiration when designing the exhibition was an architectural workspace. Rough plywood tables give reference to the environment in which the models were created. This gave them context where as formal museum pedestals may have made them look unfinished.

The Mandel Center for Non-Profit Organizations is part of Case Western Reserve University. The Mandel brothers donated the money for the center to build it's own building. For such a generous donation there was an event upon completion of the building. The Mandel's and I wanted to highlight the building for the invitation and program. They were very much involved in the approval of my design for the invitation package and program for the event and were extremely happy with the results. The package reflects the clean look of the building. The invite and program cover features an architectural rendering of the building. We were able to get photography of the interior in time for the program.
