The introduction to the MetaScape exhibition was intended to reflect the art within as well as draw museum visitors into the gallery. Colors were inspired by the paintings.
Humphry Clinker was a Cleveland band that asked me to design a logo for their kick drum. Their ear bursting sound and the round shape of the kick drum was my inspiration.
Greentree was a natural grocery I frequented in college. The initial design was for an independent study class during college. Throughout the years I've gone back to it as a fun project to redesign.
Project 244 was a gallery created specifically to exhibit living artists at the Cleveland Museum of Art. We created this logo to work in the gallery space, on printed material for museum members and advertising.
Creating my business cards was almost more an exploration in color than identity. I wanted a very simple, eye catching look that could be carried through many different pieces.
This is the second of four color schemes.
Into the Light was an exhibition celebrating light. My inspiration for the introduction was one of the artist's pieces. Two projectors throw solid color on the wall and the projections overlap in the middle creating a third color.
Glowing didactics were readable in the dark galleries.
I carried the color scheme through the banners.
Challenging Structure was an exhibition that gave visitors a glimpse into the creative process of Frank Ghery. We exhibited the 3D models and his sketches were blown up to become graphic elements within the gallery. Our inspiration when designing the exhibition was an architectural workspace. Rough plywood tables give reference to the environment in which the models were created.
Ingenuity Festival is a yearly event held in downtown Cleveland. The festival celebrates art, technology and music. Cleveland Museum of Art was given an unfinished store front for their entry.
The IT team at the Cleveland Museum of Art presented some of the technology used on the website and within the galleries.
Looking through the windows.
Our inspiration for the design came from the unfinished space. "Panels" were paper left unmounted with crop marks and color bars intact. We taped them to the unfinished drywall with gaffers tape or clipped them to easels.
Invitation and program for the opening of the center's building.
This piece was used to recruit new, talented researchers to the pharmacology department at Case Western Reserve University.
I created a grid to give visual consistency to the book and organize the information given by each researcher.
Photos on the left side of each spread are actual research images from the pharmacology department.
